Les Ardentes Festival – Belgium

Les Ardentes Festival BelgiumKELIS, STAFF BENDA BILILI, TRIGGERFINGER, DAS POP AND MORE…

Les Ardentes organisers have confirmed the addition of 12 new groups and artists.

Thursday 07 July, the outrageous hip-hop and US R’n’B star, KELIS will headline the HF6 with a completely new show which completely revolves around electro.

The powerful guitars of TRIGGERFINGER, real heavy weights on the black-yellow-red rock scene, will echo around the field on the Thursday, as well as the softer guitar sounds of HERMAN DUNE.

All other festivities aside, the festival will welcome the now famous Congolese combo STAFF BENDA BILILI whose story and music was featured on the big screen last year and toured the world. A kind of “Buena Vista Social Club” with an African flavour and customised wheelchairs. Get ready to dance!

On the Sunday, you’ll be able to discover the unique universe somewhere between the past and the future, of ZAZA FOURNIER, armed with an accordion and accompanied by a member of Phoenix and also the future English revelation, KING CHARLES.

The French CLUB CHEVAL with CANBLASTER and SAM TIBA are the guest stars who will inaugurate our all new stage Red Bull Elektropedia. This will be open on the Friday and Saturday, dedicated completely to electronic music and has the aim of providing an important place for Belgian and Liege talent.

Also the JIM JONES REVUE will appear with their crazy rock on Saturday 09 July.  With DAS POP and BALTHAZAR, two of the finest representatives of the North of the country have confirmed their appearance at the Ardentes.

For lovers of eclectic psychedelic and pop: CONNAN MOCKASIN (Thursday 07 July) has already composed the album of the year. DARKSTAR (Saturday 09 July) are the spearhead of the melancholic dubstep movement.

Like every year, there is a place of honour for young Liege groups with skate punk band CHICKFIGHT and rounded electronic duo FUSTY DELIGHTS.
