MACHINE HEAD CONFIRMED FOR SWEDEN’S METAL TOWN FESTIVAL!
The American West Coast band MACHINE HEAD began their career back in 1992. The debut “Burn My Eyes” was hailed as one of the 90th century’s most important metal albums by the UK magazine Metal Hammer . The album was for many years their record company Roadrunners biggest commercial success of a debut band. The success took the band on a two year long world tour. Among other things, along with Slayer.
With the 2007 album “The Blackening” made the band a real return to a level they really belong on. A fantastic achievement that certainly qualify as a modern metal classic. And that also gave Machine Head its first U.S. Grammy nomination.
Last fall they followed up with their seventh album, “Unto the Locust.” The album became the band’s biggest success to date list in the U.S.. In Sweden, it went straight in to the sales list fourteenth place. When the Close-Up Magazine recently summed up the 2011, placed the album as one of the year’s top five.
