REFORMED HARD ROCKERS AXE CONFIRMED FOR SWEDEN ROCK 2012!
In the early 80s, Florida’s Axe was one of the true cult bands of hard rock. They made four albums, each one more successful than the last, reminiscent of Rainbow, Magnum and MSG with a piquant American flavor.
In 1984 Axe split up, following a car accident that killed guitarist Mike Osborne. Over the years the myth surrounding the band has continued to grow, and they have been reactivated several times in different incarnations.
However, in 2012 we are talking about a TRUE reunion: Axe’s original frontman and leader Bobby Barth (also known from Blackfoot) is back, to the fans’ delight. Have you also dreamt about experiencing songs like ”Rock’n’roll party in the streets”, ”Heat in the street” and ”Silent soldiers” live at SRF, interpreted by their very creator? In June your wish will be fulfilled.
