INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PEACE & LOVE 2012
Firstly we have the American artist Regina Spektor – In the spring, she will release her first album since 2009!. Joining her today are Maria Mena, Basia Bulat, Christina Perri and Anna Ihlis.
“Regina Spektor is an enormously exciting and personal artist and we are very pleased to have her with us. New song “All the rowboats” is incredible and clearly shows that she is back in earnest again”, says press officer Ronny Thompson.
Norwegian Maria Mena has appeared on both David Letterman and Jay Leno and played at Peace & Love 2009, She plays pop and indie influences.
Canadian singer songwriter Basia Bulat debuted in 2007 with Oh My Darling. She moves in several genres, ranging from stripped-down folkpop with lush rolling alternative country. After numerous successes and tours including with James Blunt, now finally American Christina Perri is coming to Peace & Love. Last winter Anna Ihlis released her second album Long before my hair got black, a follow-up on the acclaimed album I stay awake … good morning from 2010 and the sequel has been incredibly nice praise, Anna Ihlis play shortly on the world’s biggest music industry festival South by Southwest in Austin.
