THE LEGENDARY 10CC CONFIRMED FOR SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL 2012!
10cc from Stockport, UK formed in 1972, originally as a quartet of multi-instrumentalists and songwriters. Singer/bassist Graham Gouldman had previously delivered hits for the Yardbirds, the Hollies and Herman’s Hermits. 10cc became famous for their duality: on the one hand their artistic side, on the other a more casual one spawning an array of hits like “Donna”, “Rubber bullets” and “I’m not in love”. In short a recipe for success along the lines of Queen, ELO and Roxy Music.
Success started to wane following the original lineup’s demise in 1976, and the band folded completely in 1983. However, its former members kept having success elsewhere and 1991 saw the return of 10cc. In 2012, Graham Gouldman and cohorts make their SRF debut – not one year too soon.
