HAMMERFALL, DEATH DESTRUCTION AND MORE FOR METAL TOWN 2012!
From being a gang in the mid 90’s, harrowed at various places in Gothenburg, has been HAMMERFALL Sweden’s biggest heavy metal band. As is now kicking the doors to arenas Scandinavium.
The story began sometime in 1993 when Oscar Dronjac left the death metal gang Ceremonial Oath. Together with members including In Flames and Dark Tranquillity, he assembled a group that came to represent an early version of Hammerfall. A few years later joined the singer Joacim Cans.
HammerFall was offered a recording contract with Metal Company Nuclear Blast and released 1997 debut album “Glory to the Brave.” The disc was a huge success in many parts of the world and at home in Sweden, the plate was nominated for a Grammy.
Last year, HammerFall released their eighth studio album, “Infected”. At the same time, they made an acclaimed concert in Stockholm, Expressen Martin Carlsson described this way: “After 14 years I’ve actually never seen the band do better than this evening.”
Also added to the line up today are Death Destruction, Year Of The Goat, Sectu, Imminence and Start A Fire!
