Oxegen Festival, IrelandCOLDPLAY, THE STROKES AND THE SCRIPT ADDED TO IRELANDS OXEGEN FESTIVAL

Oxegen has announced COLDPLAY as Sunday headliners, with THE STROKES playing before them, and THE SCRIPT appearing on Friday.

After announcing two headliners things went quite in the T in The Park camp but it was worth the wait as today organisers have announced that PULP, COLDPLAY, festival favourites ARCTIC MONKEYS and Liam Gallagher’s new band BEADY EYE are amongst a huge number of bands announced earlier today!

Glastonbury Festival UKCOLDPLAY TO HEADLINE PYRAMID STAGE AT GLASTONBURY

COLDPLAY have been confirmed for their first Glastonbury show since 2005. Coldplay made their Glastonbury debut in the New Bands Tent, weeks after signing their record deal. Just three years later, they made their first appearance as Pyramid Stage headliners, shortly before the release of their Rush Of Blood To The Head album propelled them to global success. We can’t wait to welcome them back again

“Coldplay have played such a major part in the Festival over the last 10 years or so,” said Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis. “As their popularity grew around the world I was so proud of them. This is the triumphant return of a band that everyone here feels part of. They’re one of the greatest phenomena to grow from these fields.”

Where The Action Is Festival, SwedenWHERE THE ACTION IS FESTIVAL RETURNS TO A NEW CITY AND VENUE!

Where The Action Is is a music festival that has existed in many different guises from the start in 1997. On tour and grass fields and in places like Riddarholmen, Skansen and Söderbärke. Past artists that have played are, among others, The Hellacopters, Foo Fighters, Håkan Hellström and Queens Of The Stone Age.

On June 28th 2011, the festival will find its new glory in Azaleadalen in Gothenburg. COLDPLAY is the first act to be confirmed so far. The rest of the artists will be announced within the next couple of weeks.

Tickets go on sale 7th February at 9am

Main Square Festival, FranceFIRST BANDS ANNOUNCED

Organisers have announced the first round of bands for this year’s festival – Linkin Park and The Chemical Brothers will play July 1st, whilst Arcade Fire and Two Door Cinema Club have been lined up for July 2nd and finally on July 3rd Coldplay will play an exclusive french show and are joined by Portishead and PJ Harvey

Rock Werchter Festival, BelgiumTWO BIG NAMES ANNOUNCED FOR ROCK WERCHTER

Rock Werchter has confirmed two new ‘big’ names – COLDPLAY and IRON MAIDEN will perform at Rock Werchter 2011!

The Chemical Brothers are the closing dance act on Thursday June 30th, Kings of Leon are headliners on the main stage on Friday July 1st, Coldplay are the main act on Saturday July 2nd and Iron Maiden are co-headliners on Sunday July 3rd

Rock Am Ring Festival GermanyCOLDPLAY are the latest announcement for next summer’s Rock am Ring in Germany.

This is Coldplay’s first announced live date for 2011. and it’s still to be confirmed which day they’ll appear.

Coldplay join the acts already announced – Kings of Leon, who will also headline, plus Beatsteaks, In Flames, Mando Diao, and Volbeat.

Tickets go on sale on the 29th November priced at 150 euro
